i went to the one part of the country that still doesnt have wifi in any restaurants! for a whole week! and then i got back and figured out that i missed an insane amount of homework. and quarter tests are next week, and exams are coming up. im freaking out! i dont have time to parouse the internet for cool things to post. its kinda sad. so commence crappy bio moment *cringes*
- Hiawassee, GA is incredibly boringly un-connected. I'm sure that's part of its appeal for the older set, but being a teenager, I was practically in a coma.
- Portal: Still Alive (the video game) is a fricken amazing game!!! the credit song is also hilarious.
- Rocky Horror is still funny on the 3rd time going! so a tradition has begun!
- 3 Doors Down put up a good concert last night! they didn't play Going Down in Flames, but thats a really kinda old song so it doesnt matter that much. but it IS one of my favoritest ever songs.
- I'm flat broke already, even though i got my paycheck/allowance thing yesterday. stupid concert tees, food, and transportation! i debate getting a job at one of the new Publix springing up all over town. i have grocery store experience after all. but i might wait til late January when i turn LEGAL so i can get a job at the Starbucks down the street. i hear they pay well, and you get free stocks and a free pound of coffee every month!!!
- An old lady rearended the back of my truck yesterday. results: one of my bumper stickers is kinda scratched a little. Her hood was totally crumpled and a headlight is completely cracked. I have a newfound affection for the Gas-Guzzling Beast.
it could just about drive a poor impressionable teenage mind completely bonkers.

ahh, monotonous as it may be, high school is a necessary part of growing up. You don't have a choice in the classes you take (except for electives) because if you did, you wouldn't take them, and while they seem completely useless you'll one day realize it was a good thing you took all those crappy ass classes.
Also, while the "the busywork assigned to keep kids from socializing" line seems like a completely well proven and viable explanation for all of school up through high school, i still don't take any stock in it. School is necessary for any sort of progression later in life. know what you can do with a middle school diploma? you can be a stripper, or a prostitute, or a drug dealer, or maybe if you knew someone in the business you could be a maid. So i say be glad that you have parents who are gracious enough to pay that kind of money to put you through a good high school. It'll be worth it later, i promise.
i pay my own tuition....
ah and where does the money you pay it with come from? if i may ask..
i work after school and on weekends. i send every other paycheck directly to the school. its a little frustrating, because that leaves me with about two hundred a month to pay for gas, car insurance, and my own groceries.
so basically, you're complaining about having to go to school when it's your choice to go there in the first place......yeah, that's a valid argument. *claps* you win.
yeah, im a teenager though. do you really expect an amazing display of logic? and like you said, if i didnt choose to go there, i would be left with really horrible career options.
well if you understand that, why waste time complaining about it? your time is better spent makin sure all that homework gets done.
